Seek. Ask. Discover.

At Masihi.Church, we believe that faith is a journey of discovery. Whether you are new to Christianity, returning to church after a long time, or seeking a deeper understanding of the Bible, we invite you to explore the foundations of faith with us.

Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). If you have questions about who Jesus is, why He came, and what it means to follow Him, this is the perfect place to begin.

Who is Jesus?

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, sent to redeem the world from sin. The Bible declares, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

Jesus lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), performed miracles, taught with divine authority, and ultimately died on the cross to atone for our sins. However, His story did not end there—He rose from the dead on the third day, conquering sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

Understanding Jesus is the first step toward experiencing true salvation and transformation.

What is the Gospel?

The Gospel means “good news.” It is the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. The Bible summarizes the Gospel in four key truths. First, God is holy and created us for a relationship with Him: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). We were made in God’s image to reflect His glory (Genesis 1:27).

Second, sin separates us from God. The Bible states, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). The consequence of sin is death, both physical and spiritual (Romans 6:23).

Third, Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again. The Bible affirms, “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). His resurrection proves His victory over sin and death (1 Peter 1:3).

Finally, salvation is a gift received by faith in Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). This salvation is a free gift from God, not earned by good works: “For by grace you have been saved through faith”(Ephesians 2:8-9).

How Can I Know God Personally?

Many people believe in God, but knowing Him personally requires faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible assures us, “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you” (James 4:8).

To begin a personal relationship with God, you must first repent (turn away from sin) by acknowledging your need for His forgiveness (Acts 3:19). Then, you must believe in Jesus as the Son of God who died and rose again for you (John 20:31). Finally, you must commit your life to Christ, surrendering to His Lordship and following Him daily (Luke 9:23).

Understanding the Bible

The Bible is God’s inspired Word, providing guidance, wisdom, and instruction for life. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).

Reading the Bible helps us know God more deeply (2 Timothy 3:16), gives us wisdom and direction (Proverbs 3:5-6), and strengthens our faith (Romans 10:17). If you don’t know where to start, we recommend reading the Gospel of John, which provides a clear introduction to Jesus. To begin your study, you can Start a Bible Reading Plan.
