Baptism is a symbolic act that represents the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. When a believer is immersed in water, it signifies dying to sin and being raised to new life in Christ. This is in obedience to Jesus’ command:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” – Matthew 28:19
Baptism does not save us—salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9)—but it is a visible testimony of that salvation.

Baptism is for those who have repented of their sins and trusted in Jesus for salvation. In the Bible, baptism always followed belief in Christ (Acts 2:41, Acts 8:12).

Each baptism candidate is encouraged to share a brief testimony of how they came to faith in Jesus. This can be done privately with a pastor or publicly during the baptism service.

Baptisms are conducted during special services at Masihi.Church, often in a community setting where family and friends can celebrate with you.
1. Does Baptism Save Me?
No, baptism does not save you. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). Baptism is an act of obedience that follows salvation.
2. What if I Was Baptized as a Baby?
The Bible teaches that baptism follows personal faith in Jesus (Acts 16:31-33). If you were baptized as an infant but have since come to faith in Christ, we encourage you to be baptized as a believer.
