What is Maundy Thursday?

Maundy Thursday marks the night before Jesus’ crucifixion, when He shared the Passover meal (Last Supper) with His disciples. The word “Maundy” comes from the Latin mandatum, meaning commandment, referring to Jesus’ words:

📜 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”John 13:34 (ESV)

This night reminds us of Jesus’ humility in washing the disciples’ feet, His deep love, and the institution of the Lord’s Supper.
